I am a CEO with proven success in delivering increased shareholder value through disciplined managerial skills. I have successfully applied these skills within diverse industries and during a range of stages in a company’s growth and development.

The success I have helped companies achieve stems from having a clear financial understanding of the different ways to increase shareholder value, choosing the appropriate value driver in each business, and being able to develop a clear fiscal understanding of the individual business model and its key drivers. I have also structured and allocated resources to maximize business success, led and empowered organizations by selling the vision to all stakeholders, and mentored key staff to maximize their success.

Just Ask Baby | 2008 – 2015

Chief Executive Officer (Major Shareholder)

CEO, and founding partner of the award winning TV show, which helps parents understand the world from their child’s perspective, using high quality videos to present science-based child development information in a new, fun and accessible way.

  • Built business from concept to present success.
  • Business successfully sold.
  • Successfully sourced and led multi-disciplinary teams of web technology, creative, legal, medical scientists, writers, to take the concept to launch in under one year.
  • Created an award winning series of “Just Ask Baby” shows, by focusing the resources of a disparate team of scientists, writers and filmmakers.

COO & CEO

Led online job board for the hospitality industry from sales of under $1m a year to over $10m, while remaining profitable and realizing growth through to successful business sale, netting shareholders a return of 28 times capital invested.

  • Developed business strategy based on increasing shareholder value through increased revenue, and market leadership, rather than profit, and agreed this as the basis of the strategy with the board.
  • Built a fiscal business model, based on this value driver, and the key business drivers of a job board (advertizing business model).
  • Extraordinary internally funded revenue growth from U$1m to U$10m.
  • Achieved dominant market position.
  • Led company from a non-cash profitable position into GAAP profitability in 2002 and held that position, while growing revenue on average 40%+ per year.
  • Sold for U$14.25m, which was 28 times the total capital invested.

Stepstone.com | 1999 – 2000

Corporate Director (Interim), London, UK

Leadership role in building Stepstone across Europe, through the acquisition of local job boards and/or the development of brand new businesses, as appropriate.

H.J.Heinz | 1997 – 1999

Managing Director, Hungary

Responsible for the Central European Division of Heinz, including the manufacturing plant with 1,500 staff, and supplying all of Central Europe and Russia, restructured and successfully sold.

  • Restructured the business in 24 months to move it into profitability from losses of over $5m a year.
  • Improved sales by 23%, through new sales across Europe to over $40m, and reduced costs by 25%, through significant headcount reduction and business streamlining.
